Does Yours?
Our free service is only available to IRS-recognized 501-C-3 non-profit organizations. To participate, register your charity with us. Once approved, we will email you a confirmation with a dedicated link to place on your website, which will link to your charity’s referral donation page on our website. This will ensure that your charity is credited with the referral donation. (You will also receive an email with a copy of your donor’s vehicle donation form to track your referral) Please help keep this service free by asking your donors to donate online instead of calling whenever possible.
100% of the net proceeds* received by Charity Cars from the sale of vehicles donated through this portal will be forwarded to the IRS-recognized 501-C-3 non-profit the donor specifies.
Our service is non-exclusive, which means that your organization may use our service to process some or all of your vehicle donation referrals. Once we have the donor’s vehicle information, we will arrange to have the donor contacted and pick up the vehicle and title (or appropriate paperwork). Charity Cars, Inc. will issue all the proper receipts and documents the donor needs to substantiate their donation to our 501-C-3 non-profit organization. The vehicles are donated directly to our organization, as we are a licensed, bonded, and insured motor vehicle dealer and a charity. This arrangement limits your organization’s liability, as the title never vests with your charity.
Although our charity has an extensive national towing network, there may be rare instances where it may not be cost-effective to pick up a vehicle, and Charity Cars may decline to accept the donation. Our professional customer service representatives will gently and courteously advise the donor of the situation.
Once the vehicle is sold and Charity Cars receives payment, we will forward a copy of the sales invoice along with a net proceeds check to your organization. Checks are dispersed every month following the month in which Charity Cars receives payment. Due to the unavoidable costs of towing and auction fees (these fees are deducted from all proceeds checks), a rare loss may occur, but Charity Cars will absorb the loss.
If you are an officer or an authorized representative of an IRS recognized 501-C-3 non-profit and you would like to utilize our free car-donation processing service, please take a moment to register your organization with us.

1-877-Charity Cars Program-100% Goes To Your Charity*
Other 3rd Party Programs-35% Goes To Your Charity
A GAO study (Government Accountability Office https://www.gao.gov/assets/gao-04-73.pdf) identified more than 4,300 charities with car donation programs. The vast majority of car donations are processed by 3rd party, for-profit /non-profit intermediaries. The study concluded that when 3rd party intermediaries were involved in the car donation process, on average, only about 35% of the revenue ever reached the charity. Over $100 million charitable dollars are lost each year to professional fundraisers and for-profit/non-profit intermediaries who administer most of America’s car donation programs.
